וַיִּשְׁלַ֞ח הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ רְחַבְעָ֗ם אֶת־אֲדֹרָם֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר עַל־הַמַּ֔ס וַיִּרְגְּמ֨וּ כָל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֥ל בּ֛וֹ אֶ֖בֶן וַיָּמֹ֑ת וְהַמֶּ֣לֶךְ רְחַבְעָ֗ם הִתְאַמֵּץ֙ לַעֲל֣וֹת בַּמֶּרְכָּבָ֔ה לָנ֖וּס יְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃
Kemudian Raja Rehabeam mengutus Adoram, kepala urusan kerja paksa, tetapi seluruh Israel melempari dia dengan batu sampai mati. Lalu Raja Rehabeam cepat-cepat naik ke keretanya untuk melarikan diri ke Yerusalem.
II Chronicles
And King Rechavam sent Adoram [(Adoniram, viz. 5:28)] who was in charge of [collecting] the tribute, and the children of Israel stoned him with stones and he died. And King Rechavam constrained himself to mount his chariot to flee to Jerusalem.
